AITokens Pet brings 12+ animated companions for Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode into one clear web experience.
AITokens Pet starts as a public gallery and grows into a marketplace, personal pet library, and device hub built around an AITokens account.
The gallery makes discovery simple with search, useful tags, and collections such as cozy pets or focused pets.
Each pet combines metadata, animation states, and artwork. Free pets may remain compatible with native Codex folders, while paid pets will use an encrypted AITokens Pet container opened only by the signed desktop app.
A Codex pet is a small animated pixel companion for the app. Each pet ships as a single pet.json describing 9 states (idle, working, sleeping, etc.) plus a horizontal spritesheet. Codex picks the right state automatically based on what you're doing in your session.
The web catalog comes first. Once accounts, purchases, and entitlement delivery are complete, the signed desktop app will install and switch pets safely on Windows and macOS.
Production pets must be created by AITokens or carry explicit commercial permission. Community fan art is not automatically eligible for sale.
Creator submissions are not open yet. A reviewed rights and licensing workflow will be added before outside artwork can enter the catalog.
No. The platform preserves upstream MIT notices, but each artwork keeps its own rights. The catalog can contain both clearly licensed free pets and paid pets with explicit commercial rights.
Each pet is tagged with a kind (creature, object, character) and one to three vibes (cozy, playful, focused, mystical, …). These power the gallery filters and the per-vibe / per-kind landing pages so you can find a companion that matches your mood without scrolling 70+ entries.
AITokens Pet will offer both free and paid companions. Paid purchases will use the existing AITokens balance and wallet system after the account and entitlement flows are complete.
